Jung family letters sent from Switzerland 1865-76
Lettres de la famille Jung envoyées de la Suisse 1865-76
12 hand written letters in French to Rosine Just nee Jung in Australia from her family in Switzerland 1865-76 with later typed English translations.
They are from siblings Albertine Jung, Charles Jung and Anna Jung, also Edouard Germiquet whom Albertine married.
I am Don Just of Melbourne, Australia, great great grandchild of Rosine.
The versions here are digitised from paper photocopies passed to me in 1970's by my father Gordon Just.
The typed English translations, also here, had been made by my father's cousin Frank Pelham Just 1923-74, Ph.D. (Sorbonne). Frank had a remarkable too short life. From Geelong, a provincial city in Australia, he became attached to the Royal Air Force of UK and flew over occupied Europe in WW2 being awarded Distinguished Flying Cross. Post war, after marriage in England and being in Australia, he went to Paris where he obtained the highest post graduate degree at the greatest university of France. Later he had a senior position in French Department, University of Melbourne.
